The clearly marked trails cover hundreds of miles of the most beautiful scenery you can imagine, with views that can take your breath away. Maps of the variety of easy, intermediate, and challenging horse trails have been put together by the Forest Service, and new trails are being added for the coming season.

Crazy Cowboys Braving the Cold!
We may not be officially open for the season, but today we welcomed some brave (and maybe a little crazy) cowboys passing through on an epic pack trip. These guys spent the last two nights sleeping on the ground while riding the Allegheny Trail. After a 14-mile ride today, they arrived at our lodge to rest and board their horses for the night.
Tomorrow, they’ll be back on the trail, continuing their journey. We’re always excited to support adventurers like these, even in the winter! Safe travels, cowboys!
Edit - Tony even had a little warm-up drink for them when they arrived! IYKYK!!

Yep, I'm married to one of them and I agree they are all crazy!
My heroes!! I had horses (and ponies) when I was a teenager. (71 now). I did over night trail rides (along the Tygart River, between Fairmont and Grafton). and loved it. WOW! I don’t know anything about this group, other that they have ‘true grit’. I consider these guys celebrities. They are living my dream.
They are all crazy. They have always been cowboys.
